In the midst of today’s global pandemic, larger nonprofit organizations that operate to support local community members in need are feeling the economic impact firsthand. CEO of SF Goodwill, William Rogers, and CEO of YMCA SF, Chuck Collins, report how their nonprofits are at economic risk because both organizations are funded through having open doors and operational services rather than philanthropy. Because of their ineligibility for the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), both nonprofit organizations are unable to continue offering financial support that their employees deserve.
Please consider donating to our Second Chance Employee Relief Fund to sustain the SF Goodwill mission to create second chances through training and the dignity of work.
