Community Partners

Through the AB1111: Breaking Barriers to Employment program administered by the California Workforce Development Board, we are providing our non-native English speaking employment participants with a vocational English language training program, ESL At Work, across all three counties. Through this partnership, we are providing individuals with language barriers with the skills and competencies to retain employment and earn wages that lead to self-sufficiency, and eventually, economic security.

As the premier hub for employment services in San Francisco, SF Goodwill’s Career Center offers the full range of employment services for San Francisco’s disadvantaged, low-income community of unemployed and underemployed jobseekers. We have partnered with the Office of Economic & Workforce Development since 2008, when we opened a One Stop Career Link Center, before assuming the role of central convener in 2013 as the City’s designated Comprehensive Access Point, serving as the entry point for San Francisco’s workforce system.

Partnering since 2018, SF Goodwill serves as the workforce provider at the Community Assessment and Services Center (CASC), providing dedicated job acquisition assistance and training to justice-involved clients.

SF Goodwill has partnered with SF’s Human Service Agency since 2018 to provide essential employment services to the City’s homeless population through Ramp to Retail, an engaging and intensive training for careers in the retail industry focusing on customer service, sales, and merchandising.
