Celebrate Earth Month with Goodwill at our Make It Your Own Workshop
At Goodwill, we consider ourselves caretakers of your generous donations, working hard daily to ensure they find a second life. Better yet, we use the proceeds to provide job services to those in need.
To celebrate Earth Month, we invite you to visit our San Mateo or Walnut Creek Stores for a hands-on workshop where you will learn a simple technique for customizing a blank cup or mug. While supplies last, you will leave with your own custom-made drinking vessel as well as instructions and inspiration for other fun projects to do at home. Goodwill’s sustainability experts will be on hand to share more about what Goodwill is doing to advance sustainability including how by shopping at Goodwill you contribute to reducing waste, conserving resources, and helping the fight against fast fashion’s environmental impact.
Also, we hope you get inspired by a display of fashionable outfits made by our very own Goodwill staff from secondhand clothing.
Our stores will be open before and after the workshops so you can stay and shop with fresh inspiration for how to make a pre-loved item your new favorite … and love it forever.
