Warehouse & Logistics Academy
In partnership with Skyline College, this four credit course engages students in the fundamentals of supply chain management and best practices in warehouse operations and is often a pipeline to college. Program graduates have increased job retention and a pathway from job to career. This free program is available through the Goodwill/Skyline collaboration to anyone seeking life changing work skills as a path out of poverty.
IT Certification Classroom
Achieving IT certifications builds essential knowledge and skills that give people with disadvantages a chance to compete for jobs in the Bay Area’s tech economy. Our Technology curriculum offers training in Microsoft Office Certification (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Word), Geographic Information Systems, Business intelligence systems and reporting, CompTIA certifications (A+, N+ and S+), and training for secure destruction and refurbishment of electronics. More than 80 percent of hiring managers report that IT certifications are a priority in making hiring decisions. Goodwill’s IT Certification program is free to job seekers struggling to get back into the job market. Program graduates have the confidence to pursue and secure 21st century jobs and achieve career advancement.
Retail Pathway Program
Tailored to help job seekers with barriers and/or low skills gain sustainable employment, the Retail Pathway Program focuses on developing core work competencies that lead to career tracks. Individuals receive hands-on work skills through training at both Goodwill stores and warehouses, enabling people to earn a paycheck while developing skills.
