The SFGoodwill Donate-a-thon Celebrates 600 Plus Local Job Placements for People in Need Powered by the Support of Goodwill’s Donors & Shoppers

San Francisco Boys Chorus, Goodwill donors, People donating for a last minute 2015 tax break, Goodwill Donation Ambassadors, Goodwill Staff, Live 10 Member Band

What:
Goodwill Donate-a-thon

  • Thanks to donors who give throughout the year and during Donate-a-thon, Goodwill placed more than 600 people in local jobs this year, creating a dignified path out of poverty for people in need
  • Celebration of over 25 million pounds of materials diverted from local landfills this year
  • Donating to Goodwill on New Year’s Eve Day is becoming an annual tradition for families
  • Goodwill’s Mission Street donation drop transforms into a donation sensation party marking the busiest donation week of the year and last day for a 2015 tax benefit
  • Donors will be treated to live music from San Francisco Boys Chorus, live Band performance, free snacks, and movie and SF Zoo ticket giveaways all to support job training and placement programs for local people in need of a second chance.

SFGoodwill Truckyard at 1500 Mission Street (On Mission Street between 10th and 11th Streets)

When:
Thursday, December 31st 2015 from 7am-5pm (The last day of the year to get a tax receipt for donated goods.)

These much needed donations will fund Goodwill’s job training and placement programs that give local people a second chance and a dignified path out of poverty.
